Some of the lines in this comic are lyrics from the song Africa by the band Toto. Toto is also the name of Dorothy’s dog from The Wizard of Oz. I have always enjoyed the song, even before it became an Internet meme.

I generally try to avoid basing comic punchlines solely on reference humor nowadays. I like using references, but I don't want the joke to rely completely on the reference, which is what happened here.
