Chapter M9: Treasures of Knowledge | Part 23

If you haven’t figured it out yet, the lady in red is supposed to be Carmen Sandiego the titlular character of a series of edutainment media from the 90’s and 2000’s (and a recent Netflix show I know next to nothing about). This was hinted at by this chapter’s title, which is the subtitle of one of the computer games my sister and I played as children.

Probably the biggest annoyance with this chapter was Carmen’s hat, which necessitated photographing most panels with her twice, once with the hat and once with her hair. I would then combine them in Photoshop.

This concludes Mindy Chapter 9! I deliberately wanted to step back the action to take a breather after the roller coaster that was Chapter 8. I also wanted to show Mindy dealing with the consequences of her choices. But we'll be stepping things back up in the next chapter as events build towards their inevitable crescendo. I'm excited for what's ahead, and I hope y'all are too.
