Yes, that's what baseplates look like up close, didn't you know?

I was never really sure about Benny’s nationality. I knew he wasn’t a native of Latin America (where we first met him) because of his red hair. This comic forced my hand because whatever word Benny used to refer to that sport where you kick a ball around until it ends in a 0-0 tie after 90 minutes was going to permanently eliminate some of my options. Ultimately, I went with "soccer", since that kept the majority of viable countries open.

Also, apparently it’s not just us filthy North Americans that call it soccer. We’re backed by Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan (sort of), various Pacific nations, and southern Africa.
