The motion blur for these scenes was achieved by me taking pictures of city buildings while moving the camera. I then photographed the characters in front of these pictures on a laptop screen. If the buildings look slanted to you, that's due to a video artifact known as rolling shutter.

Panel 6 was more complicated to make than it looks at first glance due to the glass shards from the smashed window. Each shard necessitated me taking an additional picture. With a blank plate for erasing support rods and an additional shot with different color grading for outside the broken window, the final panel is an unholy mashup of seven different pictures.
