Yuki is based on one of my real life roommates, Bethany. She does very Bethany-ish things, and one of the earliest sketches that show their common souls is the picture of Yuki holding Jiro. (Bethany does torment our real cat Thomas to no end…) Jiro's design was my sister's idea. As she said "chubby, short-haired, bobtailed, with a siamese mark on his nose."
