Ah, childhood… Is anything more adorable? Tristan in a bad bowl cut is still Tristan, all awkward and timid… Sorry I couldn't clean this page up better. (Ouch, that sentence has weird structure!) My original sketch job to indicate darkness prevented any salvagable clean-up for smudges or anything.

Gotta love the sibling relationships, very much an important theme throughout the comic. I probably mentioned this before, but I'm a middle child with one brother and one sister. Three child households have interesting dynamics. As a kid, sometimes I'd be playing two different games at the same time. My sister and I would play restaraunt while my brother and I were playing spies (unbeknownst to our sister, because we waited until she left the room to break out our toy guns and talk about "microfilm").

To avoid any confusion (and in case my mom reads this…), neither this household nor any others in the comic (and there are several three child families…) are meant to represent our household in any way.
