I won't give anything away about this chapter except to say I think you'll enjoy it. I had some inner debates about the color for Mike's attire. Blindingly bright mint somehow won the day. In case you can't tell, it is the cheesy uniform of a man working in food service.

I want to comment on the phone conversation. Remember how I said I have trouble making any non-recurring characters? Well, it turns out our book-destroying, map-making, gun-toting villain made his real debut on … PAGE 1. Tristan works with some swell guys, no? Oh, and his name is Ronnie. (Yes, he has a name. Everyone gets a name. There are no "extras.")

My trip to the mall was nice. I got a really short haircut, and bought Case Closed manga Volume 18 (Dad bought me several of the volumes I lost). And when I got home, I saw my rat Talim had finally delivered her nine pups – nearly a week late. o.O

Locoma: He's really a good brother, but he knows not to bother Kaida too much. (She can be a little scary.)

n_y_japlander: Kaida seems to be very prone to blushing, and Yuki knows all her buttons.

Peipei: Boys are so proud of their battle scars. ^^ The bullet just grazed him, so it isn't a bad wound.
