I know it seems like I'm coming up with excuses to draw animals… I am. Oh, and I was using a different pencil for this page because I had misplaced my usual one. The graphite was softer and darker, and it gave the page a different look.

Since we're in beach mode, it may be a good time to share with you this photo my sister took a couple days ago in Tatayama.

Peipei: Celes is fairly private, so we might not hear much about it. In any case, she hasn't been nearly as dreary since Toyo showed up. ^_~

Tantz: My mom used to teach biology, so all of our family trips were like that.

amanda: It's always best to minimize human contact with wildlife – especially with mammals and birds, since they stress so easily and carry parasites. (Avoiding getting bitten/pinched/stung is a good motivator too. ;-) )
