It was a last minute decision to add some digital effects to emphasize the dim smoky bar atmosphere. (It worked in the first panel, but not so much in the others…) I don't drink myself. I've had sips of things my friends were drinking, but ugh! How bad it all tastes! Seiko isn't a drinker either. We've seen her drunk once in this story when Ricky and Brigit took her out. She's a tiny thing and really a lightweight.

The last two panels seem abrupt and extreme, but it will make sense (and get considerably worse) on the next page. – For the record, Mike is only 19 and doesn't frequent bars. He's there solely to look for Seiko.

Oh, and there's a cameo over in Posted. ;-)

LanceDanger: Brad doesn't mess around when after "bad guys."

ghostrunner: Hasn't there been enough bloodshed? XD

Peipei: Brad isn't sure what to make of Tristan anymore. He used to consider him a harmless bumbler, but Tristan gets himself in trouble by being so elusive.

Tantz: Brad can be cop-like from time to time. XD

JustNoPoint: Seiko is definitely affected. It's hard to say what Kaida thinks, though. – *Takes knife.* You were cheating on your diet; weren't you? Hand over the fork too.

amanda: I'm glad he came across that way. Brad isn't that great (or professional) a cop, though. Personal feelings always direct him.

n_y_japlander: Thanks. I'm glad I was able to capture the emotions. This "questioning" is actually unofficial. As friends, they trust each other to "come clean" before a real investigation is warranted.

trevor: Nah. She left the bear… which is probably good lest it forever reek of smoke and alcohol. – The last couple pages are meant to show Seiko's tendency to react like a hurt child but also try to cope like a grown, independent woman.

patrick: Brad and Yuki have surmised that the Nashes' deaths might have to do with protecting Kaida… Seiko is intensely hurt – but that is likely a bi-product, not a motive.
