Tristan rewrote this story arc (which had a domino effect on the future storylines as well). My original plans were to have the ladies take a little vacation and leave Tristan to watch Jiro and the store. However, when I did finally get to this page, I couldn't figure out how to get him to stay behind – I could, but it would feel forced. It was just easier to bring him along and alter the plotline.

My original plans also called for Alex to join them, since he is the type of nerdy young guy who'd love that type of event. But with Tristan along, there was no room in the car. I also figured Alex's parents might want to keep an eye on him for a while.

patrick: Not the best card-playing attire. ;-)

LanceDanger: Lol. Ronnie would excel in that course of studies.

Peipei: They wouldn't know if she didn't tell them. They had really terrible hands all around. (Though technically, if he hadn't folded, Tristan probably would have won.)

dueeast: The first page of this chapter is sort of a typical "sitcom beginning." Just sitting around in the main setting chatting about nothing of particular significance. (TV show pacing is what I do. ;-) )

amanda: Lol. Actually, it is a multi-meaning title – but I've been sworn to secrecy. Meaning one = a fair. (Yay! Homonyms!) Sorry about your internet. I hate being without it.

Locoma: I enjoyed all your comments. You know you can't stay away… My comic, like a siren, beckons you towards the deadly shallows. Mwa ha ha. (And yes, the character dynamics have shifted since Raidon got out of prison.)
