Originally, the last line on this page read "Maybe not, but if we traded we'd both need censor bars." It was the first thing in my mind, but my brother thought it was fourth wall bending (which I hadn't considered or noticed). However, the real reason I chose to change it was that I thought it wasn't clear what she meant. This is more clear, but less of a punchline.

I love boats. My family vacationed in Maine three summers in a row, and I enjoyed napping on the bow of the whale watching boat as it headed out to sea. I wanted to do a boat chapter for a while. I considered a singles cruise, but this plotline pieced itself together nicely – and they just got back from a vacation at the Ren Fair. (Plus, I couldn't do a singles cruise without a romance story, and it isn't the right time for that.)

For anyone just tuning in, this is the second chapter of a lengthy story arc. The beginning of the arc starts on page 552.

amanda: That's probably high on the list of reasons Kaida would rather not seek outside help. (And only Yuki dares touch Kaida or her shades. At least she didn't slap her again. XD )

Masq: Most likely to make sure Kaida was making eye contact (and to get her attention).

Peipei: Unfortunately, Kaida closes herself off from people too much. Just when she needs support the most, she will push everyone away even harder. (Good friends are the best way to weather any crisis…)

Tantz: True. It also isn't a "cure" as much as a tool. When my friend's sister died, it really helped her out (but she needed a lot of other support too).

JustNoPoint: A good therapist doesn't tell you what to think. They just listen to you. For stubborn people who won't or can't talk to their friends and family. :-P (Technically, Yuki didn't mention the type of professional Kaida needs. Just that she needs to do something.)

trevor: Some chapters have had better scenery than others – although this is a bit of an artistic turning point. I had so much fun with this chapter's scenery, I kept it up pretty consistently from now on.
