I enjoy dream sequences for many reasons. It's a lot of fun to think of things on a subconscious level and to draw things that can't happen in reality. Originally, I had planned on Misaki Toriumi appearing to Kaida in a dream to reassure her and basically help her cope. It fits with her personality (or a representation of Seiko), and I love to draw Misaki. However, when I got to this part, this really seemed to work better and hold some deeper significance – even if it is not as reassuring. You'll see the rest of the dream sequence tomorrow.

Oh, and I drew Kaida's ears in as an afterthought. I thought they would better show her wet hair.

blntmaker: There is only so much a novice can do with a mechanical pencil. ;-) I'm glad that the effect I was going for came through.

Peipei: Kaida does need to learn how to relax and cope. She's not done enough of that.

Tantz: Kaida has a good imagination. ;-)

amanda: I have big, monkey hands. It doesn't matter, because I (now) draw 90% of the time without any references. I have had my brother pose for me a couple times. I'll point those out when I come to them. (An upcoming "fight scene" required a hand model.)

trevor: My "twists" exist because it's the only way I know how to tell a story. My mind has been warped by Agatha Christie and Detective Conan. ;-)

kyupol: Unfortunately, I have trouble focusing on "just relaxing" and can never get through the exercise. :-/

JustNoPoint: The truth is I have forgotten those stitches (or Seiko's scar/earring) once or twice, but when I go back over them for digital editing, I usually catch them.

ghostrunner: That is one method of stress relief…
