I'll point out for the sake of anyone who knows me that these characters are all fictional and don't represent any real person or any group. ;-) There is not a character in this story that shares my ideals/beliefs. (Best way to write a story, imo.)

I keep intending to draw new pages for UB (I'm in the mid 700's at the moment). I have some great stuff scripted, and today I took my lap desk and paper out to draw – but I forgot the script. Instead of taking the two minutes to go retrieve it, I ended up just drawing this, and then wasting the rest of the evening coloring it. Oh well, at least it was fun.

Make sure you check out Off Hours for a page/scene showcasing Eric and Gael ("actors" from Used Books). JustNoPoint did the art, so it is a lovely page.

blntmaker: Thanks. ^_^ Hopefully Kaida will be fine. She didn't burst into flames when crossing the threshold, so that's a good sign.

LanceDanger: I was robbed too… It's been a long summer. :-P I think I got the name Verona from The Sims 2. It was the first thing that popped into my head when I needed a family name for Tristan.

ghostrunner: Furry animal souls make me think of The Golden Compass.

Peipei: Spirituality can be very enriching. You just have to avoid the political/agenda garbage that befouls religion. (It is mind boggling how doctrines of peace and love can be perverted to promote violence and hate in the wrong hands.)

trevor: Looking forward to finding out results. I had fun drawing an award presentation page. I'm still a little leery about judging, but I wanted to help out. (I'm not judging any categories that contain my "favorites.")

patrick: I often grab less common spellings or make up names altogether. That one was deliberate (from a phonebook or something). But some of my characters have names that were misspelled and then just stuck (Merideth, for example).
