For my non mystery-geek readers, you can read the Wikipedia articles on Moriarty and Moran. Better yet, read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories, The Final Problem and The Adventure of the Empty House. (Oh, and Valley of Fear, which doesn't say that much about Moriarty, but it's a fantastic story, imo.)

I would also like to point out that the two plotlines running are not really in chronological order. They happen during the same time period, but not in order. (Kaida's plotline is occurring mostly at night, while Seiko and Yuki are in daytime.) Chapters are divided by interest points, not time breaks.

For anyone recently joining (or rejoining) the story, this is part 4 of a multi-part story arc. It begins in Chapter 56.

blntmaker: Since you mentioned it, I have started to notice those panels. It's nice that you see it as a "trademark." I think it's more the result of laziness. When I can't think of anything to say, I default to silence. ^_^;
