I love slapstick. In life, I am a victim of slapstick – especially at the hands of my friend Bethany. (Good ol' Bethany once accidentally smacked our landlord with a broom.) The difference between real life and this scenario is that when Bethany starts a story, she will not stop.

The subtlety I was talking about yesterday was the contradiction between the first and third panels. I was hoping someone would catch on to Yuki denying knowledge of the stories (specifically Moran) and a second later launching into a detailed rant. I get the feel no one did. Oh well.

ghostrunner: good

blntmaker: Thanks. I like drawing parallels (to outside characters and within the story too).

Peipei: It's pretty standard practice for hotels too. We used to use the "Do Not Disturb" sign if we were staying for a few nights and hiding a kitten in our room. ;-)

patrick: It was cocaine to keep his mind active. He took it when he had no cases to work on because he couldn't stand his mind being idle. (Sometimes, he trailed bad guys in opium dens, but he didn't use opium.) Romance is a dangerous distraction for anyone passionate about their work. Drugs, apparently, are not. XD

spiritmonkey: Too subtle I'm afraid.

amanda: Halloween or not, Seiko wouldn't wear that! However, it was Yuki's costume on the Halloween wallpaper I made last year. ^_~

KayleeVersus: Cliff Notes work better. Hollywood takes too many liberties. ;-)

Brogan: Thank you. ^_^

LanceDanger: I didn't get around to it until graduate school. The only reason I read them was so I could better enjoy/understand Detective Conan. (The creator draws inspiration and references from a plethora of classic mystery literature.)
