I don't know why, but I really like how Yuki turned out in panel 4. Seiko and Yuki both made mistakes on this page – mostly by treating this lady without any suspicion. (Seiko returning her firearm and Yuki striking up a "how do I know you" dialogue.) Yuki's old instincts and reflexes have been seriously failing her lately. :-P

The results of the Drunk Duck Awards start going live today! A few Used Books characters will be presenting awards (in other words, I drew a couple pages ;-) ), and I served on a judging panel for some of the categories, so make sure you check them out.

BetaJess: Yuki has a way of getting on her nerves. Friends do tend to vent around each other. Besides, Seiko isn't a big ball of love with all "bad guys." She has one or two she's taken an interest in.

Peipei: Well, it is the lady's gun, so no mystery there (except why she feels a need to carry one).

patrick: Yeah, with all the death and moroseness lately, Seiko hasn't had a chance to be snarky. Maybe this "vacation" is good for her.

amanda: Actually, Seiko gets this way every time she and Yuki work together. It really is not an unusual thing. (They just haven't worked together in a while.)

KayleeVersus: Guns don't kill people. Blood loss and infections do. ;-)

Brogan: I dunno. Speaking from experience, those nerf things hurt at high velocities!

WingNut: I was unaware of that. Good to know. ^_^
