This is one of my favorite pages. I liked it quite a bit before adding the digital shading, and the shading didn't hurt it. Panel 1, simple as it is, is one of my favorites. For anyone curious, here is the original pre-cleanup scan.

DrunkDuck is changing servers, which is the cause and/or effect of the frequent logging off and glitchy stuff. I appreciate hits and comments here, but I also have all my pages mirrored at ComicSpace. So if everything suddenly vanishes (*knock wood*), you can find me there.

amanda: The problem is that there are so many people living close together that you can't tell real distress from a child's tantrum or a non-serious spousal argument – or even an exuberant frat party. Eventually, you just tune it out.

Warpedwenger: My diligent response to comments is proof of my lack of a life (and my insomnia).

kyupol: Thanks. I was building to a crescendo.

patoborracho: Where I used to live, I never walked alone after dark. Strength in numbers. – It wasn't that dangerous, but I was still paranoid.

spiritmonkey: So you noticed. ;-)

Peipei: Kaida is familiar with the sounds of pain. -_-

ghostrunner: I grew up in a small town and then lived in a city. Now I'm living in a very rural area with my parents. A "look" wouldn't help me in the city. Women are naturally seen as victims.

KayleeVersus: I do love suspense. ^_^

Tantz: It is a valid concern. XD There are very few people who could take on Meredith.

JustNoPoint: Unfortunately, Mike isn't the luckiest guy in the city, and Kaida has been very distracted lately.

patrick: Thanks. I love tense story telling. ^_~ There are deaths from time to time, and there will be more. – At least that way, the possibility is ever present… Mwahaha!
