I managed to squeeze the conclusion into this page (okay, mostly one panel…). Sorry for all the text. I considered doing two pages and showing more of the scenes (Valerie being taken away in a police car, etc.), but the flow would have been off, and I felt it unnecessary. I prefer to keep things short and simple. I don't know why I chose to do a first-person narration. I guess I was on a film noir kick.

And yes, every now and then, people don't recover/survive. There was nothing I could really do for Nathan. I tried. The last chapter of this split-arc starts tomorrow. (The arc that started many weeks ago. ^_^; )

Sorry for my semi-absence yesterday. I was staying in my old childhood home which has no internet or cable (it's being renovated to go up for sale). I'm in a hotel tonight. Tomorrow, I'll be back in Virginia.

trevor: Hehe. Frequency of updates is related to me trying to get through all this stuff I have laying around. (I'll be cutting down a lot when I get through these old pages.)

patrick: I dropped the ball for clarity in this chapter. Mainly it's because I was scripting things I couldn't draw. Heh. I think my planning was sound, but the execution (pardon the pun) fell short.

LanceDanger: My visit was a one-night stay in a semi-renovated house. I'd not like to stay any longer. Heh.

roycemarie: Don't worry about it. He was a minor character anyway, so his name is meaningless. ;-)
