I never had any method of self-defense when I lived in the city – aside from my extreme paranoia. (I never walked by myself outside after dark.) One of the well-established weaknesses/traits of Seiko is her lack of street smarts (offsetting her academic intelligence). Kaida and Yuki, however, are well-versed in urban survival.

Btw, I learned in a little cooking mishap that capsaicin in the eyes is very bothersome and, I imagine, would be an effective deterrent. ^_^;

amanda & patrick: This is the same layout and furniture I've drawn before (though the chairs did end up taller and more narrow than usual), but it looks more fleshed out. ~_^
