I messed up on the car (shape not terrible but too small). I think I was trying too much here. :-/ I actually redrew all the railing digitally, but the overall perspective is off. The moon and lighting aren't great here either (I did better on the upcoming pages… you'll see). Like all experiments, it's good to try and fail – and maybe improve next time.

Self-criticism aside, I think I managed to pull off this layout. There are actually three panels here, but I made it borderless to hopefully convey a sense of groggy confusion.

ghostrunner: Like veteran flashbacks? The cheese wars were terrible. -_-

patrickdevine: Seiko's family were pretty financially well-off, so I designed a "typical" kid's room. The little touches were especially fun. I'm glad you picked up on the mood, too (it defined that household).

Peipei: Misaki was very secretive about her "hobbies," so there's no telling what she was involved with.

DAJB: That would be clever, but muggers aren't really clever, and they often *want* to cause injury. When I lived in the city, I knew people who were jumped and beaten by strangers at night – and weren't even robbed.

amanda: Since pigtails would make her look "cute," I doubt she'd go for that. She's in a constant battle against looking cute. XD Oh, and shame on you! You just made me buy a bunch of CYOA books off Amazon for my brother's birthday (or Christmas, depending on shipping time).
