Here's the last page of the chapter. ;-) When I added lighting effects, I decided to put a little light in the bookstore window. It's pretty standard practice for me and most people I know to leave a light on when they are away – and Kaida is security-conscious.

amanda: Mayo probably smells and feels gross, but drowning in sand (or ground glass?) might be more unpleasant and painful. Nothing quite like inhaling solids…

Brogan: Thank you. The lighting turned out nicely on that page. I surprised myself.

Tantz: Yeah (no sleeves). I guess my drawing is too subtle. I wanted to include a "diving in" panel, but there was no room on the page.

trevoramueller: I'm pretty proud of the shading on that page. I used two layers for it, so I could create more of a gradient.

dueeast: Rescues are almost essential for the weak (but dangerously bold) characters…

Aghammer: True. Alex tends to be very vulnerable to physical attack.

Warpedwenger: Everyone reacts to those kinds of situations differently. ;-)

patrickdevine: Not many "enthusiasts," but most have access to knives. A number of them were occupied tonight, though.
