Happy New Year, everyone. I hope you had enjoyable but safe celebrations. I don't believe in New Year 'resolutions,' but I did set a few goals for myself. Some of my goals will affect this comic, but those effects will be revealed after this story arc (just a week from now). Nothing too terrible, I assure you. My other goals include volunteering more, (ideally) finding an actual paying job, and maybe locating where the people my age are in this desolate place I moved to, so I can have some semblance of a social life beyond sitting in on marathons of the original Star Trek with my dad and his friends.

I have a note for the last panel of this page. This is a conversation my friend Bethany and I have had many times. I like to walk in the rain, but she would always scorn me when I came home wet. This was always my standard reply. It was such a routine conversation that we both knew and were both annoyed by, but we continued to have it *every time.*

patrickdevine: It's more of a throwback than a twist. Fudo was always a bit foolhardy and mischievous. It was his introspective/'emo' period that was atypical. (Basically, his introspection brought him around to himself again – but a little different.)

ghostrunner: I wish I did.

Peipei: I imagine she has very violent reflexes/reactions. XD

amanda: When we lived together, my friend Gael had a lot of trouble getting to sleep, so when she was asleep, I didn't dare disturb her. Our other roommate, however, bothered her rather often. If they weren't like sisters, I think there could have been some blood. XD

JustNoPoint: True, at least subconsciously. She did have a dream sequence a few chapters back with a similar tone. However, when she's awake… That's a whole different story.
