This hospital worker ended up looking a bit like Carter. In case you don't remember, he's the stranger who died and left Kaida his journals (which weren't found). I guess I must've missed the guy and ended up reincarnating him. Lol. – That's not Carter, btw, so put your conspiracy theories away. Carter's dead (but will be playing a role, post-mortem, fairly soon).

Today is my mother's birthday! I didn't have the wherewithal to get her a gift this year, so I wrote her a short story. Being broke has made me resourceful. (I also drew her a comic.)

patoborracho: The main reason Yuki thinks it's a coincidence is that it wasn't serious. The villains Yuki faces have access to poisons that can do much more harm. (How it got into her drink is questionable, though.)

Warpedwenger: I hope you enjoy it. ^_^

ghostrunner: It's true that the symptoms would be very mild/subtle, which is why I skipped that part. Yuki just had a feeling something was off and got checked out (for fear it was something more serious).

Peipei: It does seem a little strange.

amanda: I came up with the hospital colors a few chapters ago. I wanted it to feel clean/sanitary but warm (and also a little bit "bulk supply/lowest bidder"). ;-)

patrickdevine: Yuki might be playing it down a little for Brad's sake, but it's really not that serious. She has had much more serious injury/poisoning – and probably drinks more dangerous things on an average Saturday night.

trevoramueller: Yeah, well, I was always trying to make up for poor quality with frequency – and it's just plain ANNOYING to have 100+ pages sitting on my computer with no one to share them with. :-( But I can't keep up. I never could. Drives me nuts, but I had to do it. (Plus I have two comics I'm attempting to update, the other being sorely neglected.)

Tantz: You have a point. Neither one of them is afraid of much but they do fear for each other.

Farah: She is. :-) As long as she's on your side.
