I decided to write all of Celes's dialogue using "stream of consciousness." I use the technique pretty often. In this case, I chose to do so because although I have a good feel for Celes's character, I can't express her well in words. Having her "ad-lib" in a sense, allowed the character to define itself better in ways I can't really describe. – Btw, Celes never met Fudo. She has only heard of him from papers and Toyo. (Probably not Kaida, who doesn't like to discuss that.)

Well, I'm fighting off a bad case of writer's block. Still trying to finish the climax of this story arc (yes, it's LONG). In my dry spell, I have brainstormed a few much distant future arcs but not the one I'm working on. If anyone wants a glimpse into how I develop/invent characters and plot, click here. (No spoilers since it is just a raw collection of ideas, subject to much change.)

blntmaker: Thanks. ^_^ Celes is a minor-major character. If you want a quick recap, you can read her bio.

I'm not planning to put UB up for scrutiny anywhere (such as the review forum). I have very thin skin, and I feel almost maternal toward my characters and world. I'm touched that Peipei wrote that, though. If I get up the courage, I might put Gelotology up for review in the forums. (I'm not so sentimental and sensitive about it.)

ghostrunner: It'll be a big party!

DAJB: You are suspicious! But it's understandable. Celes's current behavior is contrary to what we know of her character.

Tantz: Fudo is Raidon's most hated rival, and Raidon tends toward dramatic rather than efficient displays when things get personal. (It's one of the things that got Raidon in trouble when he worked for the syndicate.) There's another reason too, which we'll see soon.

Peipei: True.

JustNoPoint: I think it was more of a feathering issue and conflicting with the highlights I added to the hair. – Yep, Raidon was over-confident and should have listened. But if Meredith had her way, Raidon's entire staff and half the town would be dead. :-P

Jonko: They are. They're surprised too since Celes hasn't been known for heroics or making waves.

dueeast: Really? It's been like this for a LONG time. (Although it's true that my technique is wanting of much improvement.)

LanceDanger: They're real crowd-pleasers, though. If you want to bring in tourism, have a hanging!

amanda: Aw. You could've posted them here too. ~_^ This page and the next one address your first question. This one is about her motives, and the next one gives a glimpse into her past.

trevor: I haven't met any single people my age in this area, so I probably won't even be "looking" until I get out of here. Until then, I'm still in "dreaming" status, which is okay. After you spend nearly 30 years without anyone, you learn to be patient. (Plus, I don't know what I'm missing, so I can't miss it too much.)

subcultured: I've tried doing hard shading/shadows before, but it didn't turn out very well. Thanks for the tip. I'll experiment with darker shading/shadows again in the future.

patrickdevine: That's exactly how people in movies end up dying before relaying important info. XD No worries here, though. The bookstore is secure.
