I had planned on more of a story behind this gift, but it was simply too wordy and would have mucked up the pacing and focus. Basically, I planned to have Fudo explain that he had some savings from before joining the syndicate, enough so he could leave the circus someday. When the situation changed, he kept it in hopes that he and Kaida could escape the syndicate together. But that now seemed an impossibility, and he didn't want his money stash discovered, so he used it to purchase the necklace. – That whole story got condensed to only the most crucial piece of information, presented in panel 3.

amanda: I thought that too after drawing it. XD I also love this setting. It echos Fudo's serenity. Remember he lived/lives in the forest, so nature is his sanctuary.

patrickdevine: Luckily, by this point, she's Raidon's pet. In most cases, he'll transfer his anger to someone else.

trevor: April (my cat) is my only friend in this town. The only people I know are my parents' friends. I feel like a damsel trapped in a tower. I need to find out how to escape or get rescued. :-P (But April has to come with me!)

Btw, I found out where the dog went when she left, and I contacted the people who took her in. Long story short, she finally has a new home.
