There originally wasn't any blood in panel 3, but I decided to add it after I finished the page. I think it helps tie in Raidon's move with the napkin in the last panel. Of course, it required a Google search for bloody noses. Heh.

This page also features my second use of "the b word," which I have a particular dislike for. (The last guy to use it is dead now.) I figured if it must exist in this universe, it would be inside Raidon's head.

One week left in the cover art contest. I've heard from some people who plan to enter but have not received any entries yet.

DAJB: I'm just a world class stripper! Honestly, part of the blame rests on my poor eyesight. I like big font.

Peipei: Luckily, Yuki already knows Kaida's dark past, so little explanation is needed. Just acceptance.

JNP: Yuki has known about Seiko's parents' murders since the beginning of the story, but it was never mentioned whether she figured out on her own or if Kaida told her. Kaida has always been very open with Yuki – except about this one *little* thing.

trevor: I've never traveled without my parents or a chaperone before, not even when my friends went to fairs or conventions. This will be an adventure.

amanda: It's always hard to say something that will alter your relationship. We cling to the familiar and need our friendships. But, yes, in this case, the friendship is already at serious risk. It makes it almost easier to speak what they dare not speak before.
