I'm not retconning. Tucker and Isabelle were never intended to be dead. (Carter was, however. RIP.) Chapter 49 was one of my most carefully planned chapters, believe it or not, mostly for all the things NOT shown. Conrad is my most deliberately planned out character from his design and introduction to each of his brief appearances (and, of course, the few things revealed about him by his children). I'm pretty proud of that subplot.
