I've drawn this locale a few times before, but I'm basically reinventing the designs of most of the settings and characters since the end of the long arc. You'll recall that Susie's is where Mike works and is more or less at the edge of the "bad" part of town.

Oh, and I discovered that my tablet PC makes putting letters on signs and buildings SOOOOO easy now. ^_^ I never could have pulled off the lettered window without it.

patrick Just saying that people who don't take a lot of science classes seem to think only of labs when, especially in college, science is mostly mind-numbing lectures and memorization. (Imo, it shouldn't be, but it is.) – But yes, chemistry labs are nasty, dangerous things, not the chemicals so much as the equipment. (Bursting glass tubes and whatnot… I had to get stitches. :P )

ghostrunner: Admittedly, I don't watch much Chevy Chase.

Warpedwenger: Oh, you can. But first you have to memorize the periodic table including the unique properties and bond valences of each element and alloy, write a ten page term paper, and pass your exams.

Tantz: Heh. You'll probably like the next couple chapters. They are pretty light on action/drama, but there's plenty of Tristan.
