I'm back from Douthat. Sorry for all the interruptions in the schedule this year. I believe that's the last one until holidays take over (unless I get an awesome job and move away… I think we're pretty safe XD ).

That's a charred piece of wood in the last panel. It was the writing implement that sprung to mind. :P My script contained both sides of this conversation, but phone conversations are tedious to draw, so I cut out Tristan's half. I think the "half-conversation" stands up pretty well.

There are no entries for the fan art contest yet. Deadline is the 21st of June.

patrickdevine: Maybe so. :) Although, I hadn't had that specifically in mind. I was just adding a bleak sentiment to the bleak setting.

JustNoPoint: I got no entries for the last contest I tried (or this one), so a stickman with a hat on it stands a pretty good chance of winning.
