This scene was altered to fit my drawing abilities and the positions of the characters (as well as pacing and page layout). The original script called for Violet to distract the guy while Seiko kicked him in the shin and Eric pulled his hat over his eyes. Another variation I considered was Violet punching him in the stomach. – My EARLIEST script contained Conrad, and this scene was entirely different. (But, as I mentioned before, Conrad was very out of place in this arc.)
