Originally, the line in panel four (and the "bang") was the only text on this page. Silence can be rather poignant, imo, but I weighed pluses and minuses and ended up adding the other speech/thought primarily for pacing and for a visual flow (especially in panel one). Many thanks to Tantz for helping me along these lines for the last panel in particular. :)
