The scar probably could have helped distinguish flashbacks from the present. Heh. I didn't deliberately hide it before, btw. I more or less accidentally drew it out of frame or from the wrong angle. Of course, if you've seen any of the concept drawings I've made in the last few years, you've already seen Valentine's scar.
