Managing speech balloons was no easy task for this page. I had to rewrite a lot of dialogue and experiment with angles and panel shapes to pull it off. One subtle effect I think I managed nicely was the gradual "zooming in" from panel to panel. I've been trying to make better use of distances and composition for mood.
 
The biggest pain in these pages is that Valentine is always very close, so any given panel has to either be from the side or show the back of someone's head and blocking another character. Valentine has no concept of "personal space" – or he has a very GOOD concept of it and abuses it terribly.
