This chapter should tie up the arc. I didn't know how long this arc was going to be when I wrote it, so I just inserted separations as I went.

Originally, I had planned on Eric getting killed by that sniper a few chapters ago. My sister talked me out of it. My reasoning at the time was that it would be a great show of villainy to wipe out the powerfully optimistic white knight. But my sister's objections led me to think maybe there was a more potent message to be had by Eric's victory. (And more to be said of antagonists if they can still succeed with a man like him around, particularly Raidon who prefers manipulation over brute force.) Anyway, here you go, sis. Eric carrying a dog out of a burning building.

Anubis: Tybalt is the only one without protective gear too. He's a badass little dog.
