I found this page rather depressing to draw. I know it’s odd to feel that way. It’s an upbeat page. The city’s helpers are working. But drawing Caroline without her colorful clothing broke my heart a little. I was so conflicted about her outfit. Originally, it was going to be neon tights and her little skirt, while she rocks out her short hairdo with little bows. I hesitated and tried to get into her mindset. She wasn’t feeling cutesy.


Fyi, I’m dropping to one page a week until further notice. I’m in the middle of moving and will start working full time soon.
