I confess that I'm making up the entire setting and visual effects as I go along. I'm working off a dialogue-only script that I wrote while imagining Fudo in a completely empty space talking to a disembodied voice.

After I turned it into a snowscape of sorts, I decided to give substance to the recollections by molding them out of the landscape. Now I have decided to start to turn things literally darker to go with the conversation, and frankly the visuals are creeping me out. I feel like this scene has taken on its own life. The scene itself was already a last minute addition to this arc.
