This is the last page of the chapter. I had a great inner debate on where to separate chapters for this arc. After I decided to add the dream sequence, it ran a little long but it's become my favorite part of the arc, so definitely worth the time and effort. (I also cut a scene with Mike and a bear. It didn't contribute to the plot, and with the added dream sequence, it would throw off the pacing.)

Plots get spread out a bit, but you may recall Mike's (dominant) left hand has been in a cast several times. Meredith broke it in a fight, and later, Mike smashed it on a vending machine in a bout of temper. He's the most emotional character in Used Books, which is why he is in regular therapy and also on medication. Anyway, when it came to this section and he was tasked with collecting firewood, it seemed like this could be an issue for him.
