Today is the second day of our birthday week. This day a year ago the very first page of the prologue went up on the site. I can’t believe how long ago Pete drew it! This is the second time I have written a short (~5) page script. I had toyed with the idea of producing one for Chuck and Ernie, as you may remember Frank Miller did a similar story with his two goons in one of his Sin City books, as they received such a warm reception when they turned up in the comic.

I never really expected Chuck and Ernie to be more than very minor characters. As Pete said, I wonder if the same happened to Frank Miller. I really do like this short. I had a vague idea for this for a while, but when I wrote the script for this it came in a blaze of inspiration. I had to get it done quickly for Pete for this week, but I am really happy we are getting it up on the site! I have to say I really love the second panel on this page!!
