I've watched the Spanish horror movie [REC] over the weekend and was pretty impressed. It's already been remade in the US as Quarantine, but reviews have been bad for the remake. The concept is simple; Blair Witch in an apartment building, whose occupants are quarantined, including a TV news crew, following a zombie outbreak. Like most zombie films, it ends rather predictably, but getting to the end point are some great suspenseful moments. The blood and gore are there and in full view, but it's the suspense that makes [REC] one of the more memorable zombie movies of recent times.

So if you can get hold of it, watch it. It's not going to be mind-blowing, but it is probably a better use of one and half hours of your time than say, Saw V or Mirrors.
