Janine (aka Godiva) is soon off to Russia with the Vanguard to take on Alexandrov, but first, she just make provisions for her sister and her family.

 
I think those thugs are gonna regret stealing those provisions…
 
What wouldn't you do to provide for you family?
 
In the Vanguard storyline, Godiva has given money to her sis to buy extra food as they are not surviving on their Government rations. Morally, this is dubious, as where did this food come from? Was it stolen from another hungry mouth? What will happen to people who cannot afford to buy food from the black market? What are they capable of? Theft? Murder? Like I said, what wouldn’t you do to provide for your
family?
 
It has been suggested that 'Society is three square meals away from anarchy'. The fabric of society in the Vanguard universe is almost at breaking point, the scarcity of food being a contributing factor.
