Back to the story! Remember back to the end of last issue? General Phelps was murdered by by Thade and his team, Section Nine. We pick up the story as Pendragon and Cates arrive at the General's residence after fleeing from Switzerland.
 
At this point, Pen has been up and about/being shot at/thrown into the sea for the best part of a day… hence his disheveled and dirty look. The cut on his cheek has been bandaged, so no further facial scarring :)
 
I have enlisted the skills of Gary Cohen, writer of the most excellent MallVille Rules.
 
Gary has helped immensely in providing editorial input and acting as a sounding board for my ideas. Expect Vanguard to only get better from here on out!
