DAAN (V.O.)
He fell to earth, not as a Demon
but no longer an Angel. Vaphoron
came here to start his own kingdom,
away from the Demons and Angles. In
doing so, Vampires were created. I
was created.
EXT. LOS ANGELES ALLEY-NIGHT-MODERN DAY
Daan is fighting a demon with black eyes. He knocks out the
demon when five vampires step around Daan. Daan takes a fight
stance.
EXT. DESERT-NIGHT-FLASHBACK
Daan is walking through the desert when he sees Jesus outside
getting water. Daan stops and watches from afar.
EXT. LOS ANGELES ALLEY-NIGHT-MODERN DAY
Daan is able to knock a vampire to the ground and then the
other one punches Daan to the ground. He gets up and starts
attacking the demon. He jumps over the demon and fights two
of the vampires at the same time.
He trips the other vampire and waits as the demon charges at
him. Daan uses the demons strength to trip him.
Daan grabs the demon by the neck and kills him.
EXT. DESERT-NIGHT-FLASHBACK
Daan is walking with Jesus. Daan keep looking at Jesus’ hand.
DAAN
I need you to cure me. You’re the
great healer. I traveled so far in
search of you.
JESUS
My young Daan. You don’t need to
fear what you are.
Daan looks at his own hands. He is defeated. Jesus smiles.
JESUS (CONT’D)
As I thought. You’ll be fine. Soon
you’ll find your purpose for life.
DAAN
Do you know your purpose?
Jesus sits down in the sand. Daan stares at him confused.
Daan sits across from Jesus.
JESUS
Purpose isn’t everything. For me it
is. But for the believer, they need
to enjoy life while pursuing their
purpose. They can’t make their
purpose the only thing in life. If
they do so, they’ll never be happy.
You’ll never be happy my friend.
EXT. LOS ANGELES ALLEY-NIGHT-MODERN DAY
The Vampires attack Daan. He superman punches the first one,
then the other four attack. Daan takes out a special knife.
Daan kills all the vampires but notices a kid vampire in the
shadows. The kid ruches to attack Daan. Daan pushes the kid
to the ground. Daan steps on top of the kid with the knife at
the ready.
EXT. DESERT-NIGHT-FLASHBACK
DAAN
But what else can I do. I’m a
monster.
Jesus grins.
JESUS
You’re not a monster.
Daan confused.
DAAN
I’m a blood sucker.
JESUS
Do you want to hurt or kill anyone?
Daan shakes his head no.
DAAN
I was created by the same you fight
against.

JESUS
You’re talking about the demons and
blood suckers that think sucking
the blood of the innocent you will
gain their soul.
DAAN
Exactly.
Jesus grabs the back of Daan’s hand. It starts to burn Daan’s
hand. Jesus puts a think layer of sand in Daan’s hand then
places his hand on the sand layer.
Daan stares at Jesus’ hand on his hand. He smiles.
EXT. LOS ANGELES ALLEY-NIGHT-MODERN DAY
Daan at the kids level knife at the ready. Daan stares into
the kid’s eyes. He puts the knife away. Daan stands up off
the kid. He holds his hand out towards the kid.
The kid stares at Daan’s hand.
EXT. DESERT-NIGHT-FLASHBACK
Daan is hiding as Jesus and his disciples are walking out of
the house. Peter and the disciples surround Jesus as he tries
to walk away from them.
PETER
Rabbi, where are you going?
JESUS
Where I am going you cannot follow.
But afterwards.
PETER
Rabbi, why can I not follow you
now? I will lay down my life for
you.
JESUS
Truly, truly, I say unto you, the
rooster will not crow till you have
denied me three times.
Daan sneaks around to the house.

INT. HOUSE-NIGHT-FLASHBACK
Daan sees a round table with plates, food, cups, and wine on
it.
JESUS (V.O.)
Take this and eat it for it is my
body. Drink this for this is my
blood.
Daan looks around the room and takes Jesus’ grail. (Holy
Grail)
EXT. LOS ANGELES ALLEY-NIGHT-MODERN DAY
The kid stares at Daan’s hand.
DAAN
My young one, you don’t need to
fear what you are.
THE KID
I don’t fear what I am. I embrace
it.
DAAN
You embrace the monster side. But
you’re more than that.
Daan hands are still out.
DAAN (CONT’D)
Why must you follow them?
THE KID
You wouldn’t know. You’re not one
of us.
Daan finally puts his hand away.
DAAN
Killing is what you do but it is
not who you are.
THE KID
I can’t be here.
The kid gets up and runs away, vanishes into the darkness.
4.
EXT. DESERT-EVENING-FLASHBACK
Jesus is on a cross during the crucifixion. Daan watching
from afar.
DAAN
I was too afraid to help you. Never
again.
A storm is coming. The soldiers stab Jesus in the side. Water
and blood pours out. Everyone has gone. Daan pulls out the
grail and holds the cup up to Jesus’s feet to catch the
blood. Daan hides before the soldiers return.
EXT. DESERT-NIGHT-FLASHBACK
Daan is sitting on the sand staring at the cup of blood.
DAAN
I’m sorry teacher I wasn’t strong
enough to save you. Maybe in death.
He lifts the cup to his mouth and drinks from it. Daan bursts
into a ball of fire. He screams in agony.
Daan emerges from the ball of fire.
DAAN (CONT’D)
Never again…I know my purpose.
