University blows. Missing the drop date when chemistry is hell-bent on losing me my scholarship blows, too.
Anyway…
So I get back from spring break and the ground is dry, the creek is unusually low, the grass is green, the trees are blooming, and darling little daffodils have popped up. The next day it rained nonstop, the day after that we had a freeze, which killed all the daffies and browned the grass. Today it was only slightly chilly, and, now that all spring beauty has been firmly scrubbed from the earth, leaving only cold mud and mildew behind, it's warming up again. Does Mother Nature fall into epileptic seizures when she gets to the Midwest? Just wondering, is all…
