Vic and Edwards

Out sick, sorry sorry.

Vic probably has a pretty good idea of how I'm feeling at the moment. Well, aside from the floating spit bubbles. It's about time for another mononucleosis-induced nap, so you'll forgive me for leaving most of the construction lines, hmm?

Jeebus, I hate doing this again. I'm really sorry, but fighting off mono coupled with trying to study for finals next week has killed my free time dead. I have the next few pages roughed out, but my energy level and time have been killed; even if I had the time, I don't really trust myself to do anything of any quality as far as VE is concerned this week and possibly the next.

I'll try to get a page done during finals week if I have time, but doing a comic page while I'm uber stressed doesn't usually make for much funny, or even mild amusement.

In the meantime, you can go snoop around the devART page I set up a week or so ago. Some of the better stuff I've done over the year has sat around on my harddrive with no home since it's not VE-related, so it might be of some interest. The quality of my stand-alones is also a lot better than that of the VE pages (sadly, since comicry is supposedly my primary hobby).

Anywho, that might kill some time that you're not killing reading new VE pages. -_-;

So. Comments that have been waiting forever:

Wazaga: Thanks. Yeah, as uncomfortable and impractical as that era was for clothing, it's a lot of fun to look at, with all those fussy details. Vic doesn't show his bonyness much, but yes. No muscle tone whatever. :)

x3022: Thanks! It was a very troublesome six hours, but it bore interesting fruit…

Rydel6: Thank you; I thought it a nice change from the dull shirt/slacks ensemble that nearly all my characters get stuck with. ;)

IronWolf: Why, later in this very Victorian arc he gets to don a sari-esque outfit. You're scary with the clairvoyance, you…

VinoMas: Her role in the story and design has changed a lot since her original sketch, glad you like the final version! :)

magicmaker: Oh, I don't know. As far as odd beauty standards go, I've seen weirder. Foot binding, anyone? Lip plates? *.*

SailorPoison: Well, no offence to Vic, but…yes. Yes, she did.

Twilight of the gods: I'm a little fuzzy on it, but I think I remember reading somewhere that the position of the mole meant different things. Sort of like the language of the fan. :)

JuhFreak: Thanks! I started out in an anime-ish style, but I prefer the elasticity and casualness of Western, if that makes any sense at all. Different strokes, to employ a bad cliche and pun. :) Since this is so late, I hope you had a great day last week, too!

ZoeStead: She's pretty much the reason he's still around (besides just biting him, of course). She'll crop up sometime in the fall, I think. VE doesn't exactly boast a cast of millions, so adding another character won't overload anyone's brain, I think. ^^

Mina Lunga: An eternal child is a pretty good way to sum up Vic's character in a phrase, actually.

Mr Shovels: petey thinks Mr Shovels is very kind to say so. Thanks!

Fyrsiel: And another innocent lured in by the siren call of Rick Morannis… Muahahaha… Thanks so much; I'm glad you're enjoying them so far. Don't fret, it'll pick up again in a week or so. I'm just disorganized and never have a buffer of pages when I need one. Just ask one of the pre-crash readers how long that bat storyline dragged out…! -.-

Thanks for your patience, everyone! As soon as finals are out of the way, I'll be back in the saddle again.

Out where a fried is a friend.

Where the lonesome cattle feed on the lowly gysum weed.

Back in the saddle again.

Longest rant ever in the history of VE. Rock.
