ANNOUNCEMENT: Starting Friday May 18th, WHACKED! will no longer be a three-times-weekly strip. We will post a new strip every Friday starting on the 18th of May with a new strip posted every Friday thereafter.
The reason for this change is very simple. I am sorry to announce that series artist, Antonio Ontiveros, has left the WHACKED! team. Replacing him will be amazing artist J. Matthew Westfall. We are excited to welcome Matthew to the crew–yet sad to see Tono leave.
I realize that this announcement is quite far in advance, but I want to make certain that everyone is aware of the change up front so there are no surprises. To insure that the transition goes smoothly, I will post this announcement with every strip. That way everyone will be on the same sheet of music and no one will be too disappointed when the change happens.
I'm sure that there will be those who are disappointed with the posting schedule change, but in light of the alternative (cancellation), I thought it was best to do what I could to see the strip continue.
I feel confident that when you see Matthew's work and the wonderful adventures that lie ahead for our heroes, you will decide that I made the right decision!
