Aussie_kid onSo close to the end… it makes me happy and yet sad. Jayfri's been getting offers, but they've been falling through. It's a shame though, I'd love for this guy to get onto some really huge project.
So I've been looking into improving myself as a writer and I've gotten some good tips. Apparently, I need to work on my pacing and my dialogue the most, but for the rest of it I'm fine (Pacing can sometimes go too fast to be recognisable. Also, my dialogue is stale and cliche).
Now, that was one man. And this is for a story only a few people have seen. Everyone else has not given me that. I have also gotten a 'The villians seem a little unbelievable' but other than that, everyone else loved it. Now that man was a pro editor, but the others were people who actually make comics and read them. In short, my target audience.
This leads me to wonder though. Do I listen to the editor, who knows what publishers look for when they want to publish something, or do I listen to the readers and improve my own way? Yes, I know asking you guys is doing the latter, but I'd like to know what you think. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have grown as much as I have.
Have a good week guys.
Until next time
