DD Bonus Strip #1: What More, Indeed?

I normally don't do "author's notes", but this is a "bonus" strip, so you get "bonus" commentary. Lucky you.
I generally draw the strips months in advance of the date I post them, which doesn't leave much leeway for reacting to, say, a trailer I saw on-line last week. However, I had the idea for this strip after seeing the Speed Racer trailer, and I knew it had to run right away, since the movie was coming out next month. I could not, though, simply replace this week's strip as it's right in the middle of the whole Norm babysitting his neice continuity. Thus was the concept of the "bonus strip" born.
Furthermore, even though I normally post the strip on several other sites, this strip is appearing exclusively on Drunk Duck, as a "reward" (you decided if that's the appropriate word) for my dozens of readers here, especially those who've taken the time to leave comments. I'm glad you all like the strip, and I hope you continue to do so.
