To be perfectly honest, I haven't truly decided whether or not the characters will continue to age in "real time" after this October's celebration of Norm's 30th birthday. I do know that the characters lives will move forward and change in significant over the course of the strip's run. I don't have the whole thing mapped out, but I know that there are some things I'd like to do with the characters sometime in the vague future.
By the way, Norm's birthday is October 16. I chose this date because it was on October 16, 1986 that Norm, and my college comic strip "Norm's Dorm", first appeared in the Clarion University student newspaper The Clarion Call.
