With each successive Firefox crash, I get angrier and angrier. I keep trying to upload new materials or write a post and it all just goes away, OS X then letting me know Firefox has unexpectedly ceased working. "I know that, OS X," I say, trying not to hit.
It was then I remembered a time before the Internet was everywhere. I seemed to recall an ability in those wild, untamed days, to write things outside of a web browser. In applications know as "word processors" or "anything but a web browser." So this is getting jotted down in OS X's TextEdit until it crashes, but my fingers are crossed.
Weird Adventures is NUMBER EIGHT right now. This is really rather unexpected, but I couldn't be more excited. I know I've seen links by my homies at Joe Loves Crappy Movies, Multiplex, Little Terrors, Hangar Rats, Facebook, and a few others, so I know several of you happy readers have migrated from there-ish. I saw more links, but the where escapes me…it will return.
You'll probably see the occasional weekend update like this. It's nothing substantial, just sharing. And as much as it looks like a procedural entry, it was really done just for the Bonus Materials. I was watching some videos on YouTube of people painting with their various Wacom products and thought I'd give it a try. I didn't spend nearly as long as those guys and I was working with no reference, so I kind of set myself up to fail. I'll try again before too long. Maybe the weekend updates will be a succession of my WAIU-related painting mishaps.
So enjoy the Unfinished Carls. He's just a lot of fun to draw.
Ooooh, I had an idea. What if I worked on a digital painting and shared different steps every week. Pencil sketch, flat colors, etc. etc. Would that be interesting at all? Let me know!
