So, this is the point where the actual story of the comic starts.
The 'Zectron Bomb' is named after a device from the spoof Dr Who story 'The Curse Of The Fatal Death', in which the Daleks use a 'Zectronic Energy Beam' with which they could conquer the entire universe. How? Well, they said they'll explain later.

This event was called 'Final Impact', and was the main plot point of a follow up series I did called 'The Doomsday Zone', soon to be novelised by Zenon. The series showed the events of Final Impact and their effect on the outside world, with fascist governments taking power, and an anarchist group managing to escape to the ruined Angel Island.
